Michael Albert Harvey, 70, of Cabot, a loving father and grandfather, peacefully passed away October 13, 2019. Michael was born February 17, 1949 in Little Rock to the late Ray and Melba Jean Harvey and graduated from North Little Rock High School, where he was a member of the 1966 state championship football team. He had a lifelong background in food service and proudly served as the Director of Child Nutrition for the Pulaski County Special School District for 28 years. Michael was a tireless worker with a wonderful sense of humor and a unique, bigger-than-life, persona. He had a huge passion for deer hunting and fishing and cherished any moment being outdoors and enjoying nature. Above all, his number one focus in life was his kids and grandkids and ensuring their happiness. He was the greatest Pawpaw and Pappy anyone could imagine and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Ira and Fannie Huffman; one sister, Rayma Bakalekos and one nephew, Angelo Bakalekos. He is survived by his three children, Rick Harvey (Jennifer) of Fayetteville, Ryan Harvey (Taye) and Amanda Hall (Justin) of Cabot; eight grandchildren, Westley, Andrew, Wyatt, Gracelynn, Emeri, Aubree, Milo and Autumn and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18 at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville with funeral services to follow at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Serenity Garden Cemetery in Jacksonville.
