Our beloved, Sharon Kay Love, 65, of Little Rock quietly transitioned into Heaven on October 9, 2019, after a brief illness. She was born on July 10, 1954 in North Little Rock to Joseph and Dorothy Swinney. Sharon confessed her faith in Christ and received Him as her Lord at young age. In 1986, Sharon and her family settled into the McClellan Neighborhood of Southwest Little Rock. A naturally loving and compassionate person, Sharon dedicated her life to the nursing profession, serving for 35 years as an LPN and RN at hospitals in Hot Springs, Wahiawa (Hawaii), and the Baptist Health Medical Centers of Little Rock and North Little Rock. In the 1990's she earned a nursing diploma from the Baptist School of Nursing. She always told her friends and family, "God chose me to be a nurse." Sharon always encouraged people to strive for greatness and to never give up on one's dreams. Like a mighty soldier, she was an inspiration and a pillar of hope to those she encountered. Sharon is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Swinney, brothers, Michael Swinney and John Johnson, and one sister, Deoris Swinney. She leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Curtis Love of Indiana, Joel Love of Arkansas, mother, Dorothy Johnson of Arkansas, sister, Corlis Johnson of Arkansas, brothers, Charles (Lynn) Johnson and Steven Swinney of Arkansas, granddaughter, DaJunae Jones of Arkansas, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. A brief graveside memorial will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019 10 a.m. at Forest Hills Cemetery 10200 Hwy. 5, Alexander, Ark. the Right Reverend, Bishop G.E. Crumley officiating. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses who provided care for Sharon at UAMS and Baptist Health. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Winthrop Rockefeller Cancer Center at UAMS or Baptist Heath. Services Entrusted to Superior Funeral Services 5017 E.
