Wilda Juanita Ferguson "NeeNee", age 84, a devoted mother and caregiver peacefully passed away on Wednesday October 16, 2019 after a brave fight with cancer in her residence in Texarkana with her daughter and friends by her side. She was born to Ervin Cylvester Owens and Pearl Cecil Owens in Simpson Camp, Montgomery County, Arkansas on November 5, 1934. She was a homemaker, a devoted Christian, a beloved friend, and mother to four children. She loved attending church at Harvey Assembly of God in Harvey Arkansas. She was a devoted mother who loved her children with all her heart and a loving Grandmother. She loved wind chimes and spending time with her family and friends. There was a lot of love in her life, even though she is gone, we know her legacy will live on in all of us. She was a compassionate, loving, and incredible woman, friend, and mother who inspired everyone who knew her. Her memory will live on in all of our hearts forever. She was preceded in death by her husband Boise Ferguson, two sons, Bruce Lynn Ferguson and John Roger Ferguson, one son-in-law Steve Record, and one granddaughter, Laura Ferguson. She leaves behind one son, Dennis Wayne Ferguson of Portland, New York, one daughter, Sharon Kay Record of Nash, Texas; three brothers, Waylon Owens and wife Wynema of Little Rock, Arkansas, Bruce Owens and wife Michelle of Benton, Arkansas, Dean Owens and wife Kathy of Springfield, Missouri; one sister Wanda Young of Hot Springs, Arkansas; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and her two grand fur babies Romo and Diva. Wilda will be remembered as a selfless friend and mother who always had a smile, even when times were tough. She had a quiet strength. She never complained and always looked to a better future. Her light will forever shine. Memorial Services are scheduled for Noon Saturday October 26, 2019 at Chapelwood Funeral home. Friends and family will be gathering at the residence of Sharon Record at 131 North Pecan Nash, Texas 75569. The family would like to thank the staff at Dierksen Hospice for their compassionate care and two special friends Marla Stuerhenberg and Juan Delgado.
