John Robert (Bob) Wright

JOHN ROBERT (BOB) WRIGHT, was born July 30, 1936, died Saturday, October 19, 2019. He was the fourth child of George Grady Wright and Tressie Honea Wright. He was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas. Bob graduated from Little Rock High School, now Central High, in 1953 and attended Little Rock Junior College, now UALR. He served in the Air National Guard for nine years. Bob spent his career in the food service industry; selling, designing, building and installing kitchen equipment. In his younger years, Bob was a Mason and a Shriner. Bob was a member of First Christian Church and held many leadership positions. He was past chairman and an active member in the Food Pantry. Bob was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed teaching his children and nephews, Ronnie and David, his expertise. He and Patsy enjoyed traveling, especially after retirement. In spring and fall, you could find them at the beach in Destin, Florida. Married for 64 years to Patsy White, he is survived by two children, Marianne (Mike) Satterfield of North Little Rock and John Michael Wright, two grandchildren; Benjamin Wright Satterfield and Tiffany Wright, two step-grandchildren, Sy and Brett Satterfield of North Little Rock, seven nephews and three nieces, and sisters-in-law, Sharron White and JoAnna Earl. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, George Grady Wright Jr., sisters; Mary Johnson (Bill) and Beverly Valera (Richard) and a grandson, Christopher Michael Wright. Funeral will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas, 72211. A private burial will be held later Wednesday at Beryl Cemetery, Beryl, Arkansas. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at the funeral home.
