Carl Wesley Crane
Carl Wesley Crane, 86, of Carlisle passed away on October 21, 2019. Carl was a lifelong resident of Carlisle, Snake Island Community. He joined the United States Air Force as a Radio Tech and was stationed at several military bases overseas. After serving in the military, he began a career with Riceland Foods in Stuttgart where he retired from at age 55. His hobbies included gardening and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by wife, Georga Crane, parents, Onas Ransom (Red) and Ethel Melissa Crane and great-grandson, Layton Lee Brown. Carl is survived by son, Ralph Crane of Carlisle; daughters, Beverly (Albert) Montelongo of Rockdale, Texas and Angela (David) Witt of LaGrange, Texas; five grandchildren, Jennifer Crane, Jamie Crane, Nicholas Montelongo, Amanda (Brain) Wood, and Luke Witt; three great-grandchildren, Andrew and Adalynn Wood and Benlee McBride; brothers, Logan Crane of DesArc, Ransom (Ruth) Crane of Little Rock, Richard (Dorothy) Crane of England, and Dale (Tina) Crane of Carlisle; sisters, Katheryn Peoples and Mary Glasco of Carlisle.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, October 23 at Boyd Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, October 24 at Hamilton Baptist Church with burial following in Hamilton Cemetery. Arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. www.boydfuneralhome.net.
