Julia A. Weis, 91 of Fayetteville passed away Friday, October 18, 2019 at Willard Walker Hospice in Fayetteville. She was born September 17, 1928 in Marianna, Arkansas to Ben and Marie Gillenwater Brown. Julia was a homemaker. She was raised in Marianna where she met the love of her life Richard Weis, they were married and moved to Brinkley in 1950; they moved to Springdale in 1968 and then on to Fayetteville in 1989. She was an avid bridge player. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard Weis and two brothers. Survivors include one son, Knight Weis and wife Phyllis of Springdale; three daughters, Becky Froning and husband Don of Springdale, Kay Nixon and husband Gary of Tennessee and Karen Weis-Hutto and husband Barry White of Georgia; six grandchildren, Justin, Patrick, Phillip, Payton, JT and Thomas and two great grandchildren, Fox and Fawn. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, October 25, 2019 at 10 a.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Springdale. Private entombment services will be held at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Willard Walker Hospice Home, 325 E.
