Sarah Ann Cain Prazak, 79, of Bella Vista, Ark., died October 21, 2019 at Circle of Life Hospice. She was born on September 24, 1940 to Roscoe and Ruth (Miller) Cain in Jefferson, Iowa. Most of her youth was spent on a farm located between Iowa Falls and Hubbard, Iowa. She graduated from Hubbard and took classes in nurses training and eventually went to Wayne State College at Wayne, Neb., to become a grade schoolteacher. In the early 60's she took a job in West Point, Neb., as a first grade teacher. On the first day to teacher's meetings she caught the eye of Robert Prazak who was the business teacher. A romance started shortly after and by Thanksgiving they were engaged and by Valentine's day weekend they were married (February 16). They were in love from day one. She taught for two years and then their son, Martin, was born and two years later Kelly arrived. Being a good mother took up most of her time, other jobs she had were: Optometrist's assistant, study hall supervisor and golf shop co-manager. Her first loves were: golfing (four time club champion at Indian Trails), singing in various choirs including Wayne State College, Grace Lutheran in West Point, Neb., (also Choir director) and Highlands Methodist choir in Bella Vista for over 20 years, Choir secretary, bell choir, and various committees at the church. Sarah had been suffering from Alzheimer's for nearly three years and a care facility was being sought as a permanent home when all of a sudden physical problems appeared. A super-fast growing form of cancer was diagnosed three days before she entered hospice; thus robbing Alzheimer's from the long term effect that it was certain to exact upon her. She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Jeff Vroman. Sarah is survived by her husband, Robert Prazak; son, Martin Prazak of Denver, Colo.; daughter, Kelly Vroman of Gardiner, Mont.; sister, Mary and husband, Jay Aschenbrenner of Dysart, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Tamara Prazak; grandson, Ryan Prazak; granddaughter, Kate Prazak all of Denver, Colo., and many, many close friends and relatives. A memorial service will be held Monday, October 28th at 10:30 a.m., at Highlands Church, a United Methodist Congregation, 371 Glasgow Rd., Bella Vista, Ark., 72715. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Highlands Church. Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory. Condolences may be expressed at www.funeralmation.com.
