Barbara A. Alford Reed, 85, of Austin, Arkansas went to be with the Lord October 25, 2019. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Nobody had a more giving and generous spirit than she did, and nothing made her happier than to be doing for others, whether it be for her family or her church. Barbara was known far and wide for her homemade biscuits. Anyone who came to her home knew they would get treated to something special when they got one of her biscuits. She was a member of McRae First Baptist Church. She is survived by six sons, Matthew Reed of Little Rock, Jason Reed of Austin, Ricky Wilson of Austin, Jeffery Reed of Cabot, Doug Wilson (Cindy) of Cabot, Keith Reed of Austin; three daughters, Debbye Bundy of Ward, Vicki Dillon of Cabot, Cindy Reed of Austin; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her children, Barbara is survived by two sisters, Linda Failoni (Scott Hamel) of Wyoming and Betty Bundy (Jack) of Conway. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Maggie Alford; her husbands Richard Wilson and Kenneth Reed; one sister, Louise Cox; six brothers, Junior, Charles, Harold, Huston, Marvin and Joe Alford; two grandchildren, Kristopher Johnson and Jack M. (Newt) Bundy III. A very special thank you to her caregivers. They are Angels sent straight from Heaven. Adell Finch, Tatum Young, Sherri Mason, Kathy Connett, Rachel Moss and Margaret Greer. Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church McRae or Arkansas Hospice. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
