Fletcher Louise Fleming Merritt, 89, gained her heavenly wings on Friday, October 25, 2019. She is preceded in death by per parents, Rev. John Fleming and Clarentine Sullivan Fleming in Morrilton, Ark.; her husband, Otha Merritt, Sr.; daughter, Karen Merritt, Little Rock; brothers Dewitt Fleming, Springfield, Ark., Guy Fleming, Denver, Colo., Lloyd Fleming, Kansas City, Kan.; sisters, Ruby Jewel Fleming Bell, Little Rock, Ark., and Rheta Jean Fleming, Morrilton, Ark. She leaves to cherish her memories: children, Dwight Merritt, Otha Merritt, Jr., Wayne Merritt (Sheila), Renee Merritt Smith, Little Rock, Ark., and Machelle Harris (Mark, Sr.) North Little Rock, Ark.; brother, Audrey Fleming (Betsy), Kansas City, Mo., sister, Ella Mae Burgess of Morrilton; sister-in-law, Gloria Jean Johnson, Detroit, Mich.; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Family hour will be at New Dora Baptist Church, 317 Jamison, North Little Rock, Ark. on Friday, November 1, 2019, 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at New Dora Baptist Church.
