Horace E. Windham "Windy", 85, of Little Rock, passed away October 28, 2019. Born in Little Rock to H.J. "Jeff" and Leta Williams Windham, he was a fireman with the Little Rock Fire Department for 10 years. He was the owner of Morgan Steel and Countywood Construction for 35 years. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of The Church at Rock Creek. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Garrett Windham; daughter, Brenda Ann Hampton (Virgil) of Perryville; and granddaughter, Stephanie Butler (Marshall) of North Little Rock; sister, Mary Root of Arkadelphia; nephews, Larry Root (Terrie) and Jeff Root (Debra); niece, Holly Garrett; sisters-in-law, Ella Dee Garrett of Mena and Willa Burton of Little Rock; and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Roy Franklin Windham, brothers-in-law, Paul Root, Ed Burton, Lee Garrett and Chuck Garrett (Kay). Services will be Friday, November 1 at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation beginning at 10 a.m., at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), (501) 224-2200.
