Kenneth Ray Martin

Kenneth Ray Martin Sr., of Little Rock, left this world on October 24, 2019. He was born on July 29, 1951, to Gelora Easter Martin and Charles W. Martin, Sr., who preceded him in death, one sister, Gwen and one son, Gerold. Master Chief Kenneth Ray Martin is survived by a loving wife, Dr. Lynda Phillips Johnson-Martin; a daughter, Shamia; a son, Kenneth Ray, Jr.; two brothers, Charles (Verner) of San Francisco, California and Ralph (Ruth) of Atlanta, Georgia; four grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, three step-sons, a favorite friend, " Fluffy the Dog" and a host of other relatives, classmates and friends. Kenneth graduated from Henry Clay Yerger High School in 1969 and enlisted into the United States Navy shortly afterward where he excelled, became a Navy Seal, and was promoted to Master Chief Status after 28 years of Service. He was a Grand Master of Martial Arts which include Taekwondo, Karate, and Jujitsu. Prior to retirement, Kenneth was employed for 13 years with the San Francisco Water Department. The family will receive guest at their home, 915 Cartier Lane, Sunday, November 3, 2019, from 3-5 p.m. Private family services will be held Monday, November 4, 2019.
