Jeanie Harp Holmes
Sheridan, AR, 1952 - 2019
Jeanie Harp Holmes of Sheridan, Arkansas was born March 17, 1952 at Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Rita Webb Harp Townsend, and the late Fred Harp. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Sheridan, and was a retired QA Supervisor for the Arkansas Department of Health. Jeanie loved life! She may have had cancer, but she never let it have her. She was too busy living her life…which included, but was not limited to, keeping her yard looking perfect at all times, showing out with her bowling technique, and most importantly, loving on her family. She never was one for trying to be like everyone else, so she made sure her role as grandmother was fun and adventurous, and she was definitely a "Cool" Mammaw Jeanie. From ballgames, to chauffeuring them around, or just hanging out, she cherished every minute she spent with them.
Jeanie died Monday, October 28, 2019, at her home in Sheridan, at the age of 67. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one of her precious dogs, Sam. Survivors include her mother, Rita Webb Harp Townsend of Sheridan; daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Jeremy Odom of Sheridan; son and daughter-in-law, Adrian and Mona Holmes of East End; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Sharon Harp of Sheridan; father of her children, Calvin Holmes of Alexander; grandchildren, Amber (Kiefer) West, Hunter Holmes, Kristina (Zach) Kimsey, Ethan Odom, Zac Odom, Landon Odom; great-grandchildren, Rylee, Kenlee, Harper, and Peyton. She is also survived by her dogs, Mollie, Sophie, and Abbie.
