Adriane L. Williams Cheek, 54, beloved daughter of Mary Anne "Becker" Walk of Madison, N.J. and Dwight A. Williams of Sherwood, Ark. was set free from her earthly body August 6, 2019. She passed away at her mother's home in Madison, N.J. She was born on July 9, 1965 in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Adriane earned a BA in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison N.J. During her working career she was employed by SW Bell. She was also an Executive Recruiter and Human Resources Director.
She had the ability to make you feel important and was very attentive to everyone she came in contact with.To know Adriane was to love her. Adriane cared deeply for others and had a bright infectious smile and laugh. She was formerly married to Forrest C. Cheek of Sherwood, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Orin L. and Myrl S. Becker and James and Cordelia Williams, Uncle Orin Len Becker and Aunt Maudean Williams Honnoll, all of Jonesboro, Ark.
She is survived by her parents, one daughter, Alexandria "Allie" L. Cheek of Little Rock, Ark., one son, James Cheek of Sherwood, Ark., brother Michael H. Walk of Los Angeles, Calif., Aunts Ellen M. Sauerbier of Blue Island, Ill., Carol Roy of Sherwood, Ark., Brenda Leonard and Linda Adair of Jonesboro, Ark., and numerous cousins in Little Rock and Jonesboro, Ark. Adriane was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church in Sherwood, Ark.
The visitation will be Saturday, September 7, at 10 a.m. with memorial service to follow, at 11 a.m. The memorial will be held at the Sherwood Baptist Church located at 701 Country Club Rd, Sherwood, Ark. Adriane's cousin W. Danny Honnoll Officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Adriane will be interred at a private family ceremony at a later date. For lasting memorials, the family asks donations be made to American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
