Clifford Westling, age 84, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed away August 29, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He was born November 13, 1934 in Moorland, Iowa to Clarence and Edna (Messerly) Westling. He attended Moorland and Fort Dodge public schools. Clifford married his sweetheart, Darlene Anderson on January 22, 1954. They celebrated 65 years of marriage. Clifford was a member of the National Guard, 109th Medical Battalion. He farmed in Iowa and Minnesota. He worked for Nash Finch Co. as an operations supervisor.
He served as a Sunday School teacher and Superintendent; School Board Member, Farm Bureau Member of Webster County, Iowa and Vice President of Kandiyohi County Farm Bureau of Minnesota. He enjoyed wood working, showing his wares in a variety of craft fairs. Clifford volunteered with Mobile Missionary Assistance Program (MMAP) working construction projects at churches, Bible Camps, school and conference centers.
Preceded in death by his parents; son, John, and brothers, Clarence, Jr. and Melvin. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Darlene; children, Pam (Steve) Johnson, Tracy, Minn., Twila (Rick) Lehr, Lincoln, NE, Lori (George) Batzel, Chatfield, Minn.; daughter-in-law Donna Westling, Bentonville, Ark.; sister, Janice Lamm, Altoona, Iowa; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 3rd at North Lawn Cemetery in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory. Online condolences may be made at www.funeralmation.com.
