Clarence Joe Keaton

Clarence Joe Keaton died August 29th, 2019 unexpectedly at the age of 79. Joe was born in DeWitt, Ark., the son of Clarence and Erma Dell Keaton. Joe graduated from DeWitt High School in 1958 and subsequently joined the United States Air Force where he spent four years based in Rapid City, South Dakota working on aircraft and missile silo maintenance. In 1962 Joe met a nursing student, Kathleen McDonald, from Nebraska and they married the following year. Joe is survived by his wife, Kathleen Keaton, three children and their spouses, Joe Jr. and Viki Keaton of Little Rock, Ark., Shane and Kimberly Keaton of Leonardtown, Md., and Shannon and Brian Poulston of The Colony, Texas, along with three grandsons, Jordan Pippin, Bryce and Hayne Keaton. Also surviving are his siblings and their spouses, Bob and Delayne Keaton, Eloise Van Camp, Ned and Margaret Bowers, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. After retirement, Joe and Kathy relocated to their retirement home near Mountain Home, Ark. Joe has friends near and far, with special emphasis towards his biker buddies. He was greatly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
