Glen Dean Harris

Glen Dean Harris, 81, of Maple Springs passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019. Glen was born at home on Tucker's Ridge near Bradford, and resided at Maple Springs since 1981. Glen worked many trades but was most proud of the square mill operation he owned for nearly 30 years and his work for Bad Boy mowers for 18 plus years, until he retired in January 2017. Glen was strong, proud, tough and determined and was a true patriot and a US Army Veteran. Glen was preceded in death by his wife, Earline Harris; parents, Thurman and Cecil Harris and brother, Riley Harris. Glen is survived by three brothers, Robert Harris of Bradford, Jerry Harris of Thida and Marcus Dale Harris of Cambell Station; four sisters, Norma Faye Tulis of Indiana, Evelyn Sue Simpson of Mt. Vernon, Christy Jane McBride of Denmark and Judy Shockey of Bradford; two daughters, Teresa Branscum of Maple Springs and Barbara Ballard of Salado; four sons, Franklin Harris of Kentucky, Glenvall Harris of Desha, James Harris of Indiana and Earl Harris of California; twenty grandchildren, twenty eight great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5:30-8 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2019 at Dillinger Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 9 a.m. Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Maple Springs Cemetery. Sons will serve as pallbearers and grandsons as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations made in his honor to Arkansas Children's Hospital.
