Betty J. Scott

Betty J. Scott, 88, of Springdale, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born July 17, 1931, in Springdale, Ark., to Jay Brooks and Goldie Mae Baker McGarrah. Betty worked for many years as a Nurse's Aid at Village Estates. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and shopping at thrift stores. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Robert Scott; one son, James Howard Scott; one grandson, Jason Scott; and one great-grandson, Kyle Scott. Survivors include two sons, Robert David Scott and wife Carrie Lynn of Alma, Ark., and Harold Scott and wife Kimberley Kay of Springdale; three brothers, J.R. McGarrah of Springdale, Bobby Joe McGarrah of Kelleyville, Okla., and Charles McGarrah of Gentry; two sisters, Dorothy Gallagher of Rogers, and Alice Reed of Springdale; eight grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at 2 p.m., at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with Pastor C.H. Doss officiating. Burial will follow in Sonora Cemetery.
