Stephen John Hecker, 52, passed away on September 10, 2019, at his home in Maumelle, Ark. Born March 10, 1967, on Honey Pot Lane in London, England, he was the son of Margaret and the late Scott Hecker of Maumelle. He attended school in Osceola, Ark., and spent his working career in the trucking industry.
Stephen enjoyed hunting and fishing with his children and friends. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors and helping friends in need, prior to a disability that curtailed activities he once enjoyed. He especially liked instigating heated political debates with his mother, Margaret, whom he loved dearly.
He is survived by his mother; and his children, Megan and Mason Hecker of Morrilton; Jonathan Hecker and wife, Bailey, of Guy; and granddaughter, Adalynn Grace Hecker of Conway. He was preceded in death by his father, Scott, and his brother, Mark Hecker.
The memorial service will be held Friday, September 20 at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Roller Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, AR 72211.
