Ralph Lewis Haller

Ralph Lewis Haller, 85, of Gillett, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, September 19th, 2019 at DeWitt Hospital. He was born November 14, 1933 in Tichnor, Arkansas. He worked in the timber industry from an early age and was owner/operator of Haller Logging, Inc. His business was his hobby, which he actively managed throughout his illness. He enjoyed the outdoors and possessed a special fondness of nature and its creatures. He was survived by his wife, Ruby Cunningham Haller; his son, Ralph Lewis (Carol) Haller Jr., Heber Springs, Ark. and Ruby's daughter Joyce (Mark) Hargrove, DeWitt. Ralph's grandchildren: Jason (Kelly) Haller, Stuttgart, Germany; Jessica Haller (Matthew) Bridges, Bentonville, Ark.; Sarah Haller (Andrew) Moritz, Frisco, Texas; Kim Berg, Stuttgart, Ark. and Ruby's grandchildren: Heidi (Jim) Craig, DeWitt and Kara (Crews) Puryear, Dumas, Ark. Ralph's great-grandchildren: Jason Matthew Haller, Duluth Mich.; Nicholas Haller, Stuttgart, Germany; Alyssa Bridges, Bentonville; Isabelle Haller, Smithville, Mo.; Brooke Bridges, Bentonville; Tyler Berg, Stuttgart, Ark.; and Flynn Haller, Stuttgart, Germany. Ruby's great-grandchildren: Caroline, Cannon, Kent, and Mark Cooper Craig all of DeWitt, and Collyn and Knox Puryear of Dumas. Two sisters; Claudia H. (Robert) Ahrens, Stuttgart AR and Frances Jones and family, Okemah, Okla. and two special nieces, Lesli Ahrens (Robert) Lincoln, Longmont, Colo.; and Ashli Ahrens (Kelley) Bass, Little Rock, Ark. Ralph was the son of the late Ralph Claude and Ruby Vansickle Haller of Gillett. Visitation will be held at 2 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. at Essex Funeral Home in DeWitt and burial in the Gillett Cemetery.
