Bettie Lou Thomas Gray, widow of Thomas Noel Gray her husband of 54 years passed away September 17, 2019. Bettie was the daughter of Sid and Carrie Thomas and the youngest of 10 children. Louie, Carsie, Gus, Cynthia, Flora, Carrie, Audry, Johnny, Billy and Bettie. She is survived by three sons, Billy (Dena), Mark (Lynn Dell) and Matt. Four Grandchildren, Shannon (Jeff), Kelly (Ryan), Cory (Jackie) and David (Ashley). Six great-grandchildren Riley, Regan, Jacob, Emma, Coen and Ellis. Bettie retired from the Attorney Generals office in 1995 as well as substitute Secretary for the Little Rock Schools. Bettie graduated from Fuller High School in 1950 at Sweet Home AR. Since 1955 up to the day of her passing she was a member of Highland Valley United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Highlander Sunday School Class, the Grace Notes and the United Methodist Women's Circle One. Bettie was a sports enthusiast who loved watching her boys play ball. She enjoyed playing golf with the ladies at Western Hills holding 2 hole in ones and was also a member of the LR Women's golf Association. If she wasn't playing golf Bettie loved walking for exercise and picking up pecans to make her famous little pecan pies. She will be missed by family, friends and neighbors alike as she was loved by all. In leu of flowers memorials may be made to Hyland Valley united Methodist Church or Primrose Methodist Church. Visitation will be Sept. 27th from 6-8 at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home 5800 W. 12th St. with a family burial the following morning. www.griffinleggetthealeyroth.com.
