BILLYE GAYE "B.G." VINER, 80, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away peacefully from Picks disease on September 5, 2019. She was born on February 20, 1939, the daughter of Elizabeth (Reynolds) Garbi Pope and Rocton C. Garbi. She attended Little Rock Central High School, the University of Tennessee, followed by the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Billye had an illustrious career in advertising sales. She focused primarily on print advertising for many decades before opening her own business in the same field. In the latter part of her career, she flourished in graphic design and publishing. Billye was preceded in death by her loving husband, James (Jim) T. Viner and her son, David Louis Viner. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Viner Cowles-Murphy, son-in-law, Christopher Murphy, grandchildren, Kara Cowles and Keegan Murphy, and friends who loved her dearly. She was a long-standing member of the Bible Church of Little Rock, where she had many church family members that she loved as well. Billye was an extremely strong woman throughout her life until the end and this is certainly no surprise for anyone who knew her. She was a force to be reckoned with and her tenacity, perseverance and determination gave us all perspective. She had a plaque that she quoted frequently, "Nobody said it was going to be easy." A private memorial was held in her honor. Donations in her name would be greatly appreciated to the Humane Society of Pulaski County, 14600 Colonel Glenn, Little Rock, Ark., 72210 or to the Bible Church Benevolence Fund, 19111 Cantrell Rd., Little Rock, Ark., 72223. Her online guestbook may be signed at www.littlerockfuneralhome.com.
