William P. "Bill" Broughton

William P. "Bill" Broughton, age 82, of Rogers passed away Sunday September 22, 2019 in Rogers. He was born November 27, 1936 in Davenport, Iowa the son of William R and Pauline Lyans Broughton. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Dean Baugus Broughton and a son Roger Dale Broughton. He retired from the Arkansas Western Gas Company after over 50 years. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict. He was an active volunteer serving in many different aspects throughout the community including the Fayetteville City Hospital and Washington Regional; he participated in various heart walks and was a poll supervisor at many different polls throughout Washington County. Bill was an avid Razorback fan for forty plus years, never missing an opportunity to support his Hogs. He is survived by his son Jerry Broughton and his wife Colleen of Ozark, Mo.; three grandsons; 11 great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews including, Pam Baugus and her husband David Gutierrez, Angie Denver and her husband Jimmy and their daughters Amanda Burch and Alison Denver. Visitation will be held 10–11 a.m., Wednesday September 25, 2019 at Moore's Chapel with Funeral Service to start at 11 a.m., with burial to follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
