Basil Faye Angel was born on December 5, 1937. She entered Heaven's gates on September 23, 2019 at the age of 81. Her parents, Henry F. Sisk and Sarah (Reece) of Marianna preceded her in death.
Raised on a farm in Marianna with many siblings and cousins brought her a very strong sense of loyalty to family. She married Dorsey D. Angel on December 24, 1953. They were married for 52 years when Dorsey passed on December 8, 2005. She was a homemaker who was always very busy with making family and friends comfortable in her home. She loved reading and was very adept in conversing with anyone on just about any subject. She was a Christian who believed in Jesus' teachings of how to live.
A loving matriarch of the family, Faye could always liven up all conversations with her "unfiltered" comments. She never met a stranger, and always managed to keep the children laughing. Faye had four children: Gwen (Lynn) Sadler of Cabot, Ark., Jeff (Tammy) Angel of Batesville, Ark., Greg Angel of Cabot Ark., and Bryan (Melinda) Angel of Little Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Bess Ferguson of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Cathy (Charles) Flowers of Aubrey, Arkansas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Dorsey Angel; daughter, Sharon Angel; grandson, Geoffrey Sadler; brothers, Obie Sisk, Ken Sisk, H.F. Sisk; and two sisters, Willa Dean Minick, and Latane Hall.
Faye had ten grandchildren: Geoffrey Sadler, Gary Sadler, Aaron Sadler, Stephanie Welch, Jason Angel, Justin Angel, Cassidy Angel, Mahrle Angel, Macy Angel, and River Angel. She had seven great grandchildren: Brooke Sadler, Garrett Sadler, Ridge Sadler, Reed Welch, Whit Sadler, Brennan Angel, and Ray Welch.
Faye was hospitalized several times in the latter years of her life, and her family are very appreciative of the care she received.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, September26, 2019. Service will be 10 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2019 at Roller-Crouch Chapel in Batesville. Internment will be at 2 p.m. Friday, at Redhill Cemetery at Marshall, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Rob Welch, Gary Sadler, Aaron Sadler, Jason Angel, Justin Angel, and Lynn Sadler.
