The family of Earnestine Griffin Bates, 88, announces her transition to her heavenly home on September 20, 2019. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Sandra Bates Slaughter (James) and grandson Arian Bates. A Homegoing Celebration in Memory of Earnestine will be held on Monday, September 30, 2019, with the Viewing Hour at 9 a.m. followed by the Funeral Services at 10 a.m. at Morning Star Baptist Church, 105 N. Smothers St., North Little Rock, Ark., with the Reverend Robert J. Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow at The Little Rock National Cemetery.
