Alice Elizabeth Treece Dyer died on September 25, 2019, and went to be with Jesus and her husband of 68 years, Jimmie B. Dyer. She leaves behind family and friends who grieve the loss of her earthly presence and rejoice at her arrival into eternal life. Alice was born in Marshall, Ark. on May 2, 1930 to Howard and Lester Hensley Treece. She was their third child and first girl. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Charles Howard Treece Jr., Jasper Wayne Treece, and Shirlye Treece Ford, and their spouses. She is survived by her daughters, Treeca Dyer Cotton (Jeff) and Trina Dyer Walden. Alice leaves behind her beloved granddaughters: Dr. Jordan Walden Woodruff (Daniel and their children William, Isaac, and Maggie Kate) and Emily Walden Short (and her daughter Caroline), and their father, Chock Walden. Their Mimi was their first spiritual influence and spoiler-in-chief. In her life span of 89 years, Alice was many things to many people: beloved wife to Jimmie; mother to Treeca and Trina; Mimi to her grands and great-grands; Aunt Al to numerous nieces and nephews, and their children; Home Economics teacher; singer and choir member; Bible Study Fellowship group leader; good cook and avid recipe collector; and Gracie Allen to Jimmie's George Burns. However, Alice's greatest delight and identity was to be a child of the King, a student of His Word, and recipient of Jesus' gift of eternal life. Her great joy will be to meet again in Heaven those she has left behind. Services will be held at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Ark. on Saturday, September 28, 2019, with visitation at 10 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. Interment will be in East Lawn Cemetery in Marshall. The family asks that donations be made to Immanuel Baptist Food Pantry in Little Rock, or to Samaritan's Purse, favorite charities of both Alice and Jimmie.
