Emma Mae Farrar, age 84, of Little Flock, Arkansas, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019 in Fayetteville. She was born November 19, 1934 in Hazel Valley, the daughter of Burl and Irene House Skelton. She was a longtime member of the Center Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville before relocating to Little Flock and becoming a member of the Bella Vista Church of Christ. She worked as a bookkeeper for D&C Electric, and also served on the Fayetteville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for many years. However, her true passion was working with children. She started the Cradle Roll nursery class at Center Street Church of Christ where she taught for over 50 years. Her other loves were spending time with her grandchildren, cooking for her family and friends, and going fishing with the love of her life, Lonnie. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 65 years, Lonnie; her infant sister and two half siblings. Emma is survived by one son, Steve Farrar and his wife Melissa of Little Rock, Arkansas; one daughter, Connie Horton and her husband Chris of Little Flock, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Lana Hartzog and her husband Bobby, Alicia Goodson and her husband Denny, Kerri Ross and her husband Brad, Andrew Farrar, London Hall and her husband Riley, Turner Horton and his wife Kate, Emma Kate Horton; three great grandchildren, Connor Goodson, Cameron Goodson, and Riley Ross. Visitation will be 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. Funeral service will be at 10 am Monday at Center Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville with burial to follow at Baptist Ford Cemetery.
