Charles Thomas Hollingshead

Charles Thomas "Chuck" Hollingshead, age 80, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Courtyard Gardens Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. He was born January 20, 1939 in the Richwoods Community, the son of the late Doyle and Bessie Hasley Hollingshead. Chuck was a United States Navy veteran. He retired after thirty seven-years of service to the United States Postal Service. He then sold real estate for United Country Hometown Realtors and served as Mayor of Arkadelphia for sixteen years. Chuck was a member of Third Street Baptist Church. He was a member of the Lion's Club, enjoyed reading Louie L'Amour novels and was a gun enthusiast. Chuck is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Betty Manning Hollingshead of Arkadelphia, one daughter, Jamie Smith ((William) of Arkadelphia, one son, Mike Hollingshead of Malvern, four grandchildren, Becca Reap (Chase), Brad Rogers (Reanna), Aaron Hollingshead (Ragan), and Evan Hollingshead, two great-grandchildren, Hadley Reap and Raven Hollingshead. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Third Street Baptist Church with Mike Hollinghead, Bro. Scott Jackson, Bro. James Calhoun and Bro. Greg Lathem officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Interment will be in Richwoods Cemetery. Pallbearers are Chase Reap, Brad Rogers, Bill Smith, Jerry Manning, Aaron Hollingshead and Evan Hollingshead. Memorials may be made to Humane Society of Clark County, P.O.
