Ruby Evalena Terry, 95, of Centerton, Ark., went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2019. Ruby was born in Northwest Arkansas in the Zion-Oakland Community on September 28, 1923 to George Hiram Shaw and Bessie (Wilson) Shaw. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Verl T. Terry, one sister and one brother. She is survived by two daughters, Comella Aliff and husband Earl of Springdale, Ark., and Verlene Scroggins and husband Steve of Rogers, Ark.; two grandsons, Mike Scroggins and wife Kahla of Lowell, Ark., and Brian Aliff of Cave Springs, Ark.; one granddaughter, Terri Miller and husband Duane of Elkins, Ark., and six great- granddaughters. Ruby was a devoted Christian lady who believed in sacrificial love. During her life on earth, she placed Jesus Christ first, others second, and herself last. She was a Sunday School teacher for young children for many years. Ruby was a faithful prayer warrior and she loved to read the Bible and share God's great love. Ruby was a talented, professional seamstress until her retirement. She enjoyed participating in the Arts and Crafts Festivals of Northwest Arkansas. Her beautiful crafts were displayed and sold for many years at the Bella Vista Arts & Crafts, the Prairie Grove Battlefield Park, and the Tontitown Grape Festival. Also, she participated in the Fins & Feather Festival in Oklahoma. The lovely quilts and handmade gifts that she made for her children and family members are special heirloom treasures. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at the Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale, Ark. Services for Ruby will begin at 2 p.m. immediately following the visitation.
