James L. Stringer, Jr.

James Leonard Stringer Jr., passed away on April 2, 2020 in Bryant, Ark., with his wife by his side, after suffering many years from Parkinson's disease and Dementia. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Faye Stringer; and one brother, Melvin Stringer. Jim retired from the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department, where he worked for 36 years. Jim also worked for H&R Block Tax service and later opened Stringer's Tax service with his wife. Jim is survived by his wife Carolyn of 46 years whom he loved dearly. Other survivors include four daughters, Cindy Mosley (Pike) of Benton, Christy Darrington (Robert) of Sherwood, Kim Peters of Fayetteville and Kenna Kennedy (Thomas) of Jonesboro; his beloved grandchildren, Cortney Mosely of North Carolina, Robert Darrington (Megan) of Bryant, LCpl Michael Darrignton, USMC, of Maryland, Phillip Darrington of Sherwood, Cooper Peter of Fayetteville, Grant Waleszonia of Chafee, Mo., Grayson Waleszonia of Jonesboro, and Jack Ross Waleszonia of Jonesboro. A private graveside service will be held for immediate family only. Presiding over services will be Pastor Greg Kirksey of Rock Creek Church, of which Jim and Carolyn were members. The family would like to extend its deepest appreciation to Fox Ridge Memory Care Center, Evergreen Nursing Home, Kindred Hospice and all staff/administration for such compassionate care shown to Jim.
