Surilda Steen Poole

SURILDA STEEN POOLE, 77 of Little Rock, entered eternal rest on April 2, 2020, while at home surrounded by loved ones. Surilda was born on May 13, 1942 in Newport, Ark. She was raised in Alicia, Ark., where she graduated from Walnut Ridge High School before obtaining her beautician certificate in 1961. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Opal (Riley) Jones, sister Marilyn Johnson, and son in-law, Rick Eoff. Left behind to celebrate her life include: her husband of 58 years, David Poole, daughters Esteen Poole and Tina Eoff(Ethel), granddaughters Christina and Heather Eoff, sisters Barbara Clark (Lloyd) and Judy Brubaker(Dan), as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, grand-dogs, and many close friends. We want anyone reading this to know that she lived her best life. She was a remarkable mother, grandmother, friend, and individual. Some of her favorite things include: Christmas Eve gatherings, playing cards, and watching The Voice. However, above all else, Surilda's greatest joy in life was family, biological and chosen. You could say, she'd never met a stranger. She opened her home and heart to anyone and everyone around her.
