Minnie Lasley Greene

MINNIE LASLEY GREENE, 84, of Maumelle, Ark., was transfixed peacefully into eternity Wednesday, April 15, 2020. She was a longtime member of Canaan Missionary Baptist Church and was active in a number of ministries; a retired librarian from UAPB; and a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She leaves cherished memories with her three daughters-by-marriage, Robin Greene of Little Rock, Lynne Greene, M.D., of Biloxi, Miss., and Melanie Greene-Jackson (Kenton) of Maumelle; three grandsons, William Greene, Jordan Greene, and Kenton "KJ" Jackson; three half-sisters, Leola Wakes of Topeka, Kan., Dortha Holcomb (Reginald) of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and Rosie Lee Washington of Pine Bluff, Ark.; one half-brother, Thurman Jeffries of Little Rock; brothers-in-law, Dean and Horace Greene; two special goddaughters; one very special godson; a treasure trove of dear friends; and a host of surrogate grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Final arrangements entrusted to Walton GateWay Funeral Chapel, Inc., "Where Caring and Quality Come First", 2405 South Gaines Street, LR. Graveside services will be noon Thursday, April 23, at Haven of Rest Cemetery, 7102 West 12th Street-LR. Adhering to CDC guidelines for social distancing, attendees are asked to remain in or near your vehicles or to scatter yourselves near the gravesite.
