Margaret Johnson Plunkett

MARGARET JOHNSON PLUNKETT went quietly to her heavenly home surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 8, 2020. She was born in Bigelow, Ark.,on September 23, 1934 to Roscoe "Bill" and Flora Johnson. She graduated from Bigelow High School in 1953 and married OL "Buck" Plunkett on April 17, 1954. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2019, just days before what would have been their 65th wedding anniversary. Left to cherish her memory are their four children: Sharon & Clay Combee of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; Renea & Lee Harrod; Kay & Johnny Graves, as well as Hoyt Plunkett, Sr., and her brother, Bill Johnson, all of Little Rock. She leaves behind five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren who were a very big part of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Elaine Butler and Barbara Gipson. Margaret was a very active member of Calvary and Rose Hill Churches of the Nazarene for many years. She is a retired state employee where she worked for the Game and Fish, Plant Board and State Police throughout her other career after raising her 4 kids. The visitation will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Calvary Church of the Nazarene in Little Rock, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at 2 p.m., in Vollman Cemetery, Bigelow Ark.
