James Harold Cloyes, 87, of Bald Knob, died Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at the Beebe Retirement Center. He was born Jamuary 13, 1933, in Bald Knob, a son of the late Clarence Auther and Ethel Lee (Moody) Cloyes. Mr. Cloyes served his country in the United States Army, and retired from the railroad after 37 years of employment. He was a longtime member of the Bald Knob Church of Christ and, for a number of years, enjoyed Friday night card games with close friends, Bill and Wanda Emde, and Herbert Joe and Louise Edom. Harold also enjoyed fishing and was an avid Razorback football fan. He is survived by his children, Teresa Cloyes, Rick Cloyes (Trina), Anthony Cloyes (Christy) and Matt Cloyes; sister, Ida Mae Burchfield; grandchildren, Nicole Cloyes, John Torres (Nicole), Casey Landis (Brian), Hannah Ellis (Nathan), Jordan Cloyes and "bonus granddaughter," Jenny Taylor Cervantes and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Cloyes, a grandson, Arron Cloyes; 2 brothers, Billy Ray Cloyes and Doug Cloyes. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 13, 2020, at 2 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery by Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob - Judsonia. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
