Verna Beatrice Smith

Verna Beatrice Smith, 63, of Little Rock, transitioned on December 3, 2020. She was born on December 22, 1956, to the late Alfred Dubouis Smith and Hattie Gardner-Davis in Little Rock, Ark. She graduated from Central High School in 1975. Verna matriculated at University of Central Arkansas and received a Bachelor of Science in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. She also went on to complete her Masters of Education in chemistry and mathematics. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Alfred Jr.; Eric and Dwight Gardner and Jackie Little. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Tommy L. Smith; children, Rege`(Evert) of Atlanta, Ga., Tae'lor (Nicholas) Davis of Little Rock, Ark., and Tomar (Rogan)Smith of D.C.; sisters and a brother; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Walk-through visitation Friday, December 11, 2020, from 12 to 4:30 at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester St., Little Rock, Ark., 72202. Masks are required and social spacing is observed.
