Dora Christine Ward Rogers, age 79, of Lincoln, Ark., went to be with her Lord on December 9, 2020, in Farmington after a two-year battle with cancer. Christine was born November 23, 1941, in Fayetteville, Ark., to Zellous and Fern (Wood) Ward. She married Elwood Rogers in September 1966. Christine worked as a bookkeeper at Washington County Farmers Mutual Insurance Company for 54 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Bethel Myers, Melba Lou Ward and Nadine Ward; and one brother, Gene Ward. Christine enjoyed gardening, fishing, painting, attending church and spending time with her family. She also sang and played the piano in church for most of her life. Christine was a faithful member of the White Rock Light of Faith PCG in Fayetteville and Sugar Hill Community Church in Lincoln. Christine is survived by her husband of 54 years, Woody Rogers; two daughters, Danette Rogers of Farmington, Ark., Angela Baker and her husband Larry of Prairie Grove, Ark.; her son, David Rogers and his wife Kenda of Farmington, Ark.; one sister, Judy Ward; three brothers, Don Ward and his wife Marilyn, Richard Ward, Gerald Ward and his wife Donna all of northwest Arkansas; three grandchildren, William Rogers and his wife Kayla of Coweta, Okla.; Kathrin Rogers of Bella Vista, and Ethan Baker of Prairie Grove, Ark. Visitation will be 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2020 followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. at White Rock Light of Faith PCG located at 6560 Wedington Dr, Fayetteville, with burial to follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Crosses, Ark., under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
