Theodore Lambert

Theodore Lambert, 69, of Maumelle, Ark. died Sunday, February 9, 2020 at St Vincent's Hospital, Conerstone Division. Theodore was born May 6, 1950, in Bearden, Arkansas, the 10th of 11 children born to the union of Rhodie and Arleane Key Lambert. His parents, brother, Bobby James Lambert and sisters, Eloyce LeFlore and Clementeen Kennedy all preceded him in death. Theodore was a 1968 graduate from Sparkman Training School, Sparkman Arkansas and attended Arkansas A.M.&N., now the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, before entering into the Army. He served his country honorably as a Sargent in the United States Army and Army Reserves in the 444th Combat Support Company for 24 years. He served in two wars; Vietnam and Desert Shield and awarded the following honors: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Bronze 2 Star Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Expert Sharpshooter Rifle, Army Commendation Medal and the Silver Combat Infantryman Action (CIB) Badge and Silver Combat Action Badge (CAB). Theodore joined Bethel AME Church after relocating to Maumelle in 2011. He served on the Usher Board as President, Board of Trustees and sung with the Men's and Spirit of Bethel Choirs. A lifetime of love and memories will be forever remembered by his wife of 46 years, Louise Lambert, his son, Cedric D. (Rosezetta) Lambert and his daughter, Keema D. (Roderick) Nolen; his three grandchildren, Collin Dewayne Lambert, Caylee Daeneen Lambert, and Myles Lamar Nolen; four sisters, Dorothy Steward and Betty Daniels of St. Louis, Missouri, Bonnie (RC) Clack, of Dallas Texas and Sheldia (Ray) Carter, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; three brothers, Marvin (Iva) Lambert, Henry (Dorothy) Lambert, Bennie (Shirley) Lambert all of St. Louis, Missouri, he loved all his nieces and nephews along with have a special bond with his niece/sister, Carol (Rickey) Scott. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 14, 2020 at Bethel AME Church,600 Cedar St., North Little Rock, Arkansas with Rev. Tyrone Broomfield, officiating. Burial will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock, Arkansas under the direction of Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home in Little Rock, Arkansas. Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bethel AME Church, North Little Rock, Arkansas.
