Chad Erick Smith

Chad Erick Smith, 51, of Springdale, Arkansas passed away Saturday February 22, 2020 at North West Medical Center in Springdale. Chad was born November 23th, 1968 in Springdale, Ark., son of Johnny A. Smith Sr. and Nettie Jean Tidwell. Chad was with Laura Marie Turner from February 28th, 1987 and they happily married Feb 28th, 2007 in Neosho, Mo. Chad worked for Bill's Electric Inc. as an electrician and loved his job. Chad also enjoyed playing horseshoes and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Chad is survived by his wife Laura Marie Smith of the home, father Johnny A. Smith Sr. and wife Barbara Smith of Springdale, Ark. and mother Nettie Tidwell and husband Laymon Tidwell of Goshen, Ark. Chad was also survived by his brother Johnny Smith Jr. of San Francisco, Calif., two sisters Jamie Smith and Eden Strange of Springdale, Ark., one daughter Shantel Marie Smith of Neosho, Mo., one son Shane Erick Smith and wife Nichelle Smith of Neosho, Mo., two granddaughters Aubrey and Riley of Neosho, Mo., three grandsons Cooper, Blake, and Brody of Neosho, Mo., six nieces Natasha, Skye, Yazmin, Serenity, Crosby and Autumn of Springdale, Ark., mother-in-law Peggy Tuner of Springdale, sister-in law Melinda Graham of Cave Springs, Ark., brother-in-law Edward Turner of Springdale, Ark., two nephew-in-laws Chris Graham of Cave Springs, Ark. and Curtis Turner of Springdale, and one niece-in law Addison Turner of Springdale, Ark. Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale on Friday, February 28, 2020 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel in Springdale on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 11 a.m. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home.
