Patricia Ann Covington

Patricia Ann Covington, 86, of Little Rock, Arkansas, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 26, 2020. She was born September 25, 1933, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Thomas William and Evelyn Ashford (McNairy) Carter. Patricia was also preceded in death by her first husband, John Powell, and her second husband, Dayton Covington; and an infant son, John Marcus Powell Jr. Patricia was a graduate of Mount St. Mary's in Little Rock, and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. During recent illness, she was often visited and given communion by Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Mrs. Covington had also been co-owner of The Red Coat Inn, an antique store in the Heights. She was also a full time-home maker who loved her family, cooking, and her church. She also enjoyed swimming, laying by the pool and boating on Beaver Lake, as well as traveling and had been to Scotland and Ireland. She is survived by her sons, Marc Powell of Dallas, Texas; Jeff Powell and wife Julie of Alexander; Carter Covington of Chicago, Illinois; Matthew Covington of Little Rock; her sister, Mary Jo Withrow and husband Eugene of Little Rock; six grandchildren, Danielle, Jessie, Meggie, Joanie, Jack and Will; and a number of nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2020, in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, with Father Warren Harvey officiating, to honor Patricia's life.
