Lilly Rose Smith

Lilly Rose Jarvis Smith, 86, of Carlisle, was of the Baptist faith and went to be with her Lord on June 30, 2020. Rose was born on February 13, 1934 to Thomas Jefferson and Nellie Mae Gilbert Jarvis. Rose married Billy Jim Smith and they raised four sons on the farm. She worked many jobs during her lifetime, grain cart and rice truck driver, after a long work day she would cook wonderful meals for her family, in home care giver for the elderly, chief cook and bottle washer. Her greatest joy was being a momma, granny, great granny and great-great granny. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, twin sons, Mickey and Rickey, son, Dwayne, great-granddaughter, Emma Nicole Huey, siblings, JH Jarvis, Mildred Plant, Ruby Bowlan, Junior Jarvis and ST Jarvis. She is survived by her sons, Gary (Cathy) Smith, Chris (Karri) Smith, both of Carlisle, Mark (Stephanie) Smith of Hazen, daughter-in-law, Becky Smith and her brother, Dwight Jarvis, both of Carlisle; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Graveside service were held Friday, July 3, 2020 at Hamilton Cemetery, Carlisle, officiated by Brother Patrick Fulmer. Arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.
