Anthony Wayne "Tony" Dickinson, Jr., age 87, of England, Ark., died on July 25, 2020. He was born in Little Rock, Ark., on August 24, 1932 to the late Wayne and Lois Dickinson. He graduated from Castle Heights Military Academy, Lebanon, Tenn., in 1950, and from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Ark., in 1954. He was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. After college, he enlisted in the United States Army and served as 1st Lieutenant in Germany for two years. Tony was an active and faithful member of England First United Methodist Church. His leadership and dedication were a testimony of his deep faith. Tony was a lifelong farmer and a real estate appraiser with AR Highway Department for several years. He loved to hunt and was a member of The Duck Bowl hunting club for 58 years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Pat Hankins Dickinson, children: Tracy Shoemaker and husband Steve of Jonesboro, Ark., Wayne Dickinson and partner Marco Condoleo of New York, N. Y., Stephen Dickinson and wife Leila of Cabot, Ark., grandchildren: Holly Harrington and husband John, Kyle Shoemaker, Hadley Dickinson, and Patrick Dickinson, great-grandchild: Beau Anthony Harrington. Also left to cherish his memory, brother-in-law: Paul Hankins of Arkadelphia, Ark., cousin: Patsy Ely and husband Joe, of St. Louis, Mo., and all his loving nieces and nephews, extended family, and very special friends. The family would like to thank so many friends who have supported us in immeasurable ways during this journey. A celebration of Tony's life will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at the outdoor Chapel of Mulberry Cemetery, England, Ark. Physical distancing and masks are required. Public visitation will be 8 a.m.–5 p.m., Monday, July 27, 2020 at Roller England Funeral Home.
