Milton Wesley McDonald

Milton Wesley McDonald, age 72, of England, Ark., was born August 30, 1947 and died on March 21, 2020. Milton did many things in his life, he was a farmer, restaurant manager and construction worker. He was most proud of his service in the U.S. Navy, he served on the amphibious assault carrier USS Inchon where he was the crew chief on the ship's helicopter. He was the third of four generations of McDonalds that served in the military during a time of war. Our grandfather was in the army in Europe during WWI, our father was in the Navy during WWII, he and I were in the Navy during Vietnam and my son served since 9/11. He also had many cousins and uncles that served. Milton gave a clear testimony that he believed in Jesus Christ. He farmed for 40 years following his father's example of honesty and hard work. He was an example, inspiration, and encouragement to all of his nieces and nephews. He is survived by a brother and two sisters, Wallace (Stephanie ) McDonald of Beebe, Ark., Marilyn (Gary) Huffman of Belleville, Ill., Susan (Joe) Appeldorn of Tylertown, Miss. He is also survived by five nephews, two nieces, four great-nephews and two great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, General and Valeta McDonald of England, Ark., and one great-niece. The family would like to thank the employees at Arkansas Hospice for their compassion and care of Milton. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to Arkansas Hospice at https://www.arkansashospice.org/foundation/donate or by calling (877) 713-2348.
