William "Bill" Archie Mooty, age 83, of Natchitoches, La. went to be with the Lord Monday, May 18, 2020. He was born on August 9, 1936 in El Dorado, AR to the late Simmie Mooty and Millie Rosalee Gorum Mooty. He was a carpenter by trade, an Air Force Veteran, a member of the First Baptist Church of Marthaville, La., a previous member and deacon of Victory Baptist Church of El Dorado, Ark. He loved to fish and hunt and was the gentlest soul and a God-fearing man. He along with his wife Vada Lee Vines Mooty, whom he married July 3, 1958 in El Dorado, Ark. were the owners of The Brown Bagger of El Dorado, Ark. and previous owners of Almost Home restaurant in Natchitoches, La. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Shirley Mooty Tull Brumley and husband Henry; a Brother in law Eugene Garner all of Warren, Ark., a sister-in-law, Ever Lee Vines Adams Wooley of Harrell, Ark., one niece Vickey Ann Hamaker Allison and a nephew, Dennis Wayne Tull both of El Dorado, Ark. He is survived by his wife Vada Lee Vines Mooty, one sister Floy Jean Mooty Garner of Warren, Ark.; one son, Ronald Allen Mooty (Marilyn) and one daughter, Cynthia Lynn Mooty both of Natchitoches, La.; four grandchildren; Carmen Michelle Smith of Splendora, Texas, Charles Randall Smith Jr. and Casey Lance Smith both of Natchitoches, LA and Savana Hope Griffith ( Matthew)of Marthaville, La., four great-grandchildren, Justin Matthew Griffith, Aiden Bryce Martin and Kolton Allen Griffith of Marthaville, La. and Layla Elizabeth Lee Smith of Natchitoches, La., two nieces; Teresa Hamaker of El Dorado, Ark. and Becky Church of Bentonville, Ark., three nephews; Gary William Hamaker of El Dorado, Ark., Lloyd Tull of Warren, Ark. and Mark Allen Adams (Shawna) of Harrell, Ark. as well as many greatp-nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2020, at 1 p.m. at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home; with visitation prior to the service starting at 11 a.m. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Mooty, Gary Hamaker, Mark Adams, Casey Smith and Charles Smith.
