Martin Maxwell Ackley

Martin Maxwell Ackley of Springdale, Ark., died May 14, 2020 at the Veterans Home in Fayetteville, Ark. Born April 4, 1950 in Dusseldorf, Germany, the son of John Mayes and Dorothy Jenneman Ackley, he was a Vietnam veteran serving tours of duty with the US Army in the Mekong Delta. He worked in construction for various companies throughout his life both in Tulsa and Northwest Arkansas. Marty graduated from Sooner High School in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Predeceased by his parents of Fayetteville, Ark., Marty is survived by his wife Patricia (Pat) Ackley, three children, Amber Dawn (Bruce) Hawkins of Tulsa, Okla., Maxwell Ackley of Malvern, Ark., Marka (Derrick) Rapenchuk of Pueblo, Colo., stepchildren Michelle Webster of Pea Ridge, Ark., and Walter Snyder of Clyde, N.Y. He also leaves two sisters in Fayetteville, Ark., Tommi Louise Perkins (Larry) and Patricia (Patty) Jill Pummill. No services are planned.
