Andrew James McDonald

ANDREW JAMES MCDONALD, 33, of Little Rock passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at his residence. Born September 28,1987, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to Jim and Cathy (Linder) McDonald. He worked at Leo's Greek Castle in the Hillcrest area of Little Rock. He was a 2006 Episcopal Collegiate High School graduate who earned a bachelor's degree in environmental sciences from Westminster College in Fulton, Mo. in 2010. He was known for his witty perspective, great sense of humor, and vision for a better world. He worked as a counselor multiple summers at Camp Mitchell, and completed an internship at Heifer International. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Lois McDonald and an aunt, Heather McDonald. Survivors include his parents, the Rev. James D. and Catherine McDonald of Batesville; two sisters, Betsy (Chris) Borecky of North Little Rock and Katie McDonald of Houston, Texas; niece Clara Borecky; grandparents Larry and Patsy Linder of Fort Smith. Additionally, he is survived by six uncles, five aunts, many cousins, and friends too numerous to count. An outdoor service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Camp Mitchell, a special place for Andrew, located on Petit Jean Mountain, the Rev. Hannah Hooker, officiating.
