George "Bob" Robert Lasher, age 95, of Hot Springs Village passed away on November 4, 2020. He was born November 25, 1924 in Troy, Ind. He was raised in Vincennes, Ind., where he graduated from Lincoln High School in 1942. He was a proud 38-month veteran in the U.S. Marine Corps serving in WWII and receiving battle ribbons for Bougainville, Guam, and Okinawa. He married Anna Knauth Lasher on December 2, 1946, until her death November 20, 2004. He graduated from Indiana University, School of Business in 1950 and then began a 30-year career with Ford Motor Co., retiring in 1980. After retirement, Bob was the writer of the "Jes Ramblin" column of the Village Voice for 16 years. Bob is survived by his daughter Leigh Ann Lasher, who resides in Honolulu, Hawaii; son Jay Lasher (Cheryl) who reside in Huntsville, Ala.; three grandchildren, Emilie, Ethan and Bo Lasher; one great-grandchild, Todd; two sisters; one brother; and numerous nieces and nephews; close family friends Marilyn Antley and family; and Ron and Judie Mueller.
