Helen Doris Bunn Jones

Helen Doris Bunn Jones, 97, of Dermott, Ark., passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at The Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hot Springs, Ark. Helen was born in Hamburg, Ark., on March 23, 1923 to the late James Oliver Bunn and Lottie Riels Bunn. She married Rev. Donald D. Jones on December 18, 1942 and served by his side in various Baptist Churches in Arkansas and California. Mrs. Jones loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty seven years Rev. Donald D. Jones; brother, Loyle Bunn; sisters, Dean Holland and Opal Fuentes; son-in-law, Tommy Poteet. Survivors include daughters, Kaye (Don) Adams of Dermott, Ark., and Donna (Jim) Kemp of Hot Springs, Ark.; sons, Bill (Jane) Jones of Medford, Ore., Tim (Vickie) Jones of Arkadelphia, Ark., and Tom (Gail) Jones of San Bernardino, Calif.; 11 Grandchildren; Numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; Many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2020 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, Ark. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Dermott Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Culpepper officiating.
