Audra Zink Evert passed away in Houston, Texas, on October 24, 2020, following a long illness. Born to Hazel and Ben Zink in Cleveland, Ohio, on June 27, 1927, Audra was the third of four children. Audra was a woman of many interests and talents. In school she excelled at academics, athletics, art, and drama. While raising her family, she added knitting, sewing and entertaining to her repertoire. Audra became a life master, director, and star teacher in duplicate bridge. Audra is survived by her ever-loyal and loving husband of 65 years, Jerry Evert; her children, Jay Evert (wife Aletha), Ben Evert (wife Vicki), Chris Evert (wife Cathy), Macy Evert Erickson (husband Jim), Halle Evert Brumleve (husband Mike); and grandchildren, Jason Evert, Travis Evert, Alex Evert, Caitlin Evert, Tori Evert, Jake Evert, Cole Brumleve, and Brooke Brumleve. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Catholic Charities of Houston, 2900 Louisiana, Houston, Texas, 77006, or the American Cancer Society.
