Richard Gilmer Ayers

Richard Gilmer Ayers, 87, born on May 26, 1933, in Salisbury, N.C., died November 9, 2020. Richard was married to Fonda Courtney Ayers for 26 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, and special and only child, Kate Austin Groen and husband Dave. Two awesome and talented grandchildren, Ivan and Marlowe of Ft. Collins, Colo. He also called Fonda's family, Michelle Parker, Nicole Lovell and Steven Courtney, his own. He was such a blessing to his other five grandchildren and eight great-grands. A full obituary will follow.
