It is with a sad heart to let you know of the passing of Dorothy Louise Simpson Pruitt, on Tuesday, November 20, 2020. She is survived by her three children and the loves of her life, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Better known as Dot; her eyes were the color of the Texas Blue Bonnets that she loved so much and her smile could light up a room. One of the highlights of her life was the annual trip to Muskogee, Okla., to celebrate with other alumni and her past reign as a Band Queen. Mom cherished her years at UALR, especially the time spent with her coworkers. Shawn, thank you for staying a part of mom's life, it meant the world to her. A heartfelt thank you to Becky, who was a blessing in her life the last five years. To Elite Hospice, specifically Tina and Jennifer, thank you for your care and compassion during a very difficult time. There are not enough words to thank David for the support he gave mom through the years and especially toward the end. Mom was gracious and kind, but, most importantly, an avid animal lover. Because of her love for animals, she would have been honored to have any donations made to the Heber Springs Humane Society. Because of COVID-19 restrictions, services will be private.
