Billie Jo White

Billie Jo "BJ" White, 82, of El Dorado, Ark., entered the church triumphant Wednesday morning,September 30. BJ grew up and started her family in North Little Rock with her high school sweetheart, Rex. BJ attended the University of Arkansas where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She was a teacher and librarian in the North Little Rock School District for a number of years before retiring and spending her time traveling with her husband and visiting with her granddaughters. Billie Jo is preceded in death by her husband, Rex, two daughters, Kristen and Pam, and her parents. BJ is survived by her granddaughters, Katy Hayes, Caroline Callaway, and Abigail Callaway, and her son-in-law Matt Callaway, along with various extended family members. There will be a visitation for Billie Jo Monday, October 5 at 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m., at the Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home in North Little Rock. Attendees are required to wear masks as a safety precaution. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Park Hill Baptist Church in North Little Rock.
